Michael Moore

Michael Moore is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and began music training at Cincinnati College Conservatory of music. At 20, he joined the Woody Herman Band, then became an integral part of the N.Y. jazz scene. He has played and recorded with Marian McPartland, Stan Getz, Chet Baker, Zoot Sims, Jimmy Rowles, Benny Goodman, Ruby Braff, Tony Bennett, Bob Brookmeyer and many others. Michael is leader of his own duo and trio, and continues to be an innovator and prolific composer. He is also an adjunct professor at William Patterson College and Long Island University teaching young bass players.
